Welcome to Riverbank Art Studio. Thank you for allowing me to introduce myself, my name is Laura. I am located in Raleigh, NC. I am married to my wonderful husband John for over 25 years, I have two fantastic adult children and one adorable grandchild.
| I first got my start in the world of art at the age of 8 years old with my grandmother (who was a devoted and vibrant artist) teaching me oils. I have dabbled in painting most of my life. In 2004 I became an In-Home Arts Specialist specializing in One Stroke Acrylic Painting and I began teaching this quick and easy form of art. In February 2007 I tested and became a One Stroke Certified Instructor and in May, 2007 I tested under Donna Dewberry and earned my Level II Certified One Stroke Instructor status. I am also a Certified Traditions Artist. I have branched out to teaching decorative acrylic painting, some water color painting and some oil painting. I teach beginners and intermediates. My classes are held in the privacy of my home in small groups to give each student individual attention.
